    2002 年開始長年背包客自助旅行,多國遊歷並於當地居住生活,2004 年始於印度學習艾楊格瑜伽(Iyengar Yoga),迄今已和數十位國際級瑜伽大師學習印度瑜伽,2010 年開始於台灣和多位國內外著名的太極拳宗師習拳/氣功/推手, 2012年與法國資深心理師學習心理分析和療癒。陸續於台灣各地指導瑜伽課程(以艾楊格瑜伽為主軸,並融合多種身心靈的練習方式與觀念)。也曾多次擔任國際研習會議與工作坊的翻譯(瑜伽/太極/身心靈課程,以及國際教練聯盟 ICFT,跨國界跨領域。2014年籌辦並率領首批台灣瑜伽團隊前往艾楊格瑜伽全球總校(RIMYI / Pune, India)進行為期一個月的密集訓練課程。指導過各類型的瑜伽課程(銀髮族,正位療癒復健,覺知靜心合一,僵硬者,孕婦,兒童以及特殊兒童瑜伽等。)
˙2014/2015 指導“公益銀髮族大安瑜伽班”(學員年齡約 65-88歲),以艾楊格瑜伽訓練方式為主軸,效果顯著,深獲好評,全年度獲得台北市體育局經費補助。
 
˙2014   心靈工坊 合辦艾楊格瑜伽&心理療癒工作坊,同年亦於北投里民活動中心開辦瑜伽課程。
 
˙ 2012/2014  多次進入印度艾楊格瑜伽孟買分校受訓(B.K.S. Iyengar Yogashraya in Mumbai , India)。
 
˙ 2013  特殊兒童瑜伽一級師資認證 Yoga for Special Child w/ Master Sonia Sumar
 
˙ 2013/2014/2015  法鼓山禪修。
 
˙20132011數次於台灣參加十日“內觀”禪修(Vipassana Meditation in Taiwan)。
 
˙ 2011~2014  允想廣告公司專任瑜伽教師。
 
˙ 2012   開始於大安,中正,土城各運動中心指導瑜伽課程。
 同年與法國東南部著名資深心理師Pierre Anglade學習心理分析與療癒,並與台北大直學校合辦兒童創意大自然冬令營(雙語)。
 
˙ 2010 ~ 2013  以艾楊格瑜伽訓練方式為主軸,於各地推廣並指導瑜伽課程:士林公民會館,外雙溪,宜蘭,瑜珈境,南勢角苡喬瑜伽, 淡水吉爾瑜伽,東門等地。
 
˙ 20112008  於印度Dehradun 瑜恆瑜伽中心,2度進行一個月密集瑜珈受訓,與艾揚格瑜伽國際知名大師夫婦Masters Swati & Rajiv Chanchanni / Yog-Ganga in Dehradun, India ).

另一個境界-攤屍式 Shavasana

攤屍式,在台灣一般又稱為「大休息」(Shavasana)。動作真的是非常簡單,是人人都可以做的體位法,也幾乎是所有瑜伽課的最後,所必須要進入的平靜姿態。這個動作很像是睡眠,也或許是因為太簡單了,你會在許多的課堂上發現很多學生都會忽略這個姿勢,離席而去。但千萬千萬千萬不要忽視了「大休息」,B.K.S Iyengar 曾在「瑜珈之光」一書中將「攤屍式」(Shavasana)當作最困難的體位法。為什麼連大師都視「攤屍式」(Shavasana)為最困難的體位法呢? 難道不是只要躺著不動就對了嗎?從外在形式ˋ看起來確實是如此? 那內觀上不同的是甚麼? Shava的意思是屍體,意思就是你不但要像屍體一樣躺著不動,你還必須像死亡一樣放下世俗的一切,這是不是就非常不容易了呢?

我們可以把自己的一生想得很長,也可以在很短的時間經歷我們的一生,例如一天的週期,從早上醒來是一個新的開始就如同出生,晚上入睡如同死亡,醒來又是一個新的出生,你長長的一生絕對不會經歷二個完全相同的日子,每一天都是獨一無二的,就如同你經歷過今世又經歷了來世,如果你今天有過不去的事情,不開心的事情,你沒有在今天睡前放下,那明天的你又會被同樣的一件事情所揪心,那就會如同輪迴一般的永無止境。

一天的週期是你的一生,一堂瑜伽課也可以是你的一生,從最基本的呼吸開始=>暖身=>初階動作=>進階動作=>再回到和緩的動作=>最後大休息來到攤屍式,放下你心中所有的雜念與不愉快,走出教室的你是經歷過一個蛻變洗禮的你,所以每經歷過一堂課,你都會更喜歡你自己一點點,因為你感受得到你變得更好。

將攤屍式談論得更深切的話,就是要注意你當下的狀態,是進入到似睡非醒之間,你似乎沒有睡著好像還醒著,感覺得到周邊的一些細微,有點類似將進入睡眠狀態的最前端,這個當下,就是之後進入冥想練習的狀態。

所以攤屍式之所以這麼重要,是因為這是你用最簡單的方式來體驗冥想,是學習冥想的最初階段。下次不要再忽略攤屍式了,略過攤屍式,你就是錯過一次蛻變的洗禮,非常可惜。

OXY-Pregnancy Yoga

Yoga helps to alleviate many of the common problems of pregnancy. It improves circulation, which helps prevent constipation, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, leg cramps, and swelling of the ankles. It also prevents back pain by strengthening the muscles that support the back.

Pregnancy often leaves women feeling less energetic, but regular yoga practice and exercise can give her more energy and freshness.

Let’s talk about the breathing for a mother and baby-

During pregnancy, a mother and a baby need more oxygen.  Actually, many people think that the oxygen is just for the baby, but actually, at least half the extra oxygen the mother is taking in is for the placenta.  Certainly, also during pregnancy, the mother’s basic metabolism just gets higher.  During pregnancy, mothers do breathe more.  They in fact breathe more deeply.  They don’t breathe more often, more frequently, just more deeply. 

Actually, strangely enough, despite taking up extra oxygen in her blood, mothers in pregnancy often feel breathless and that’s one of the most common symptoms of pregnancy, is breathlessness strangely enough.

So during pregnancy, mothers will feel more breathless that even though they’re taking up more oxygen, and letting out more carbon dioxide, they do this in part by movement of the diaphragm.  Of course, as the pregnancy gets larger, she would expect there to be less movement in the diaphragm.  The extra oxygen passes through the placenta, is taken up by the placenta, but also by the baby and it transfers quickly over to the baby’s side because the hemoglobin – that is the red cells actually in the baby’s circulation- picks up oxygen much more easily than our own hemoglobin would do.  It binds that oxygen and it releases it into the baby’s circulation.

Proponents of this oxygen “therapy” say it boosts energy levels, increases your endurance during yoga practice, helps you bounce back more quickly from physical exertion, provides relief from stress and pollution, increases your concentration, helps you relax, and eases headaches. Sanskrit Language

Sanskrit is the classical language of Indian and the liturgical language of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It is also one of the 22 official languages of India. The name Sanskrit means “refined”, “consecrated” and “sanctified”. It has always been regarded as the ‘high’ language and used mainly for religious and scientific discourse.

Patanjali wrote his work in Sanskrit. As a result, the names of the postures are in the original Sanskrit language, a language which was in use in ancient India but is now known only to a few. It is very interesting to analyze these terms and find out that each posture has its specific meaning. While some postures are nominated according to birds, animals, trees etc., others are named after some saints or Hindu gods according to their nature, personality and action. Thus, a practitioner should know the meaning of the postures. When he practices a posture, he must be aware of its qualities, characteristics, advantages and nature.

Yoga makes me feel complete. Practicing yoga bring peace and joy in me. Swami Vivekananda the great Yogi, always inspired me in all ups and downs in my personal and professional life, the journey still continues and I am very much content in this beautiful journey called life. The same message and yoga philosophy I would like to share with the people I meet through my teaching as well. The yoga philosophy has answered all my questions in my life.

My style I love to teach

The approach and content of teaching of my classes changes based on level of group of students. Pranayama and meditation is my favorite practice although I love to teach different dimensions of yoga. This way of  approach helps the individual in boosting the self-esteem, confidence, self- defense, self-realization, physical and mental fitness, stress management, winning over depression and many more.

About Me and Class structure

Rohit Prasad is trained in Yoga, Indian traditional wrestling (Mala-Yudha), in India along with professional social work.  He has Won two school district yoga championships in 1999 and 2000. Have experience of teaching yoga, wrestling, boxing and life skills more than five years.  He has Studied traditional yoga at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta School and Morarji Desai National School of Yoga. He used to teach different age groups kids, old aged, adults and women.  He love to use different techniques and methods of yoga teaching, group work, one to one, role play, demonstration and discussions. His classes are interactive keeping in mind that each student is different and get maximum benefits of class.
